Please be advised that only the cancellation of tour packages - and not the booking of accommodations only - is covered legally (§651; BGB).
Contracts completed via the internet or by e-mail are valid, legal contracts according to §312B Fernabsatzverträge, Abs. (3) Ziffer 6. However, the consumer has no recourse when cancelling a contract involving accommodations, transportation, delivery of food or beverages, or recreational activities as long as the provider is supposed to provide said services at a certain time or within a certain time frame.
Cancellations of booked accommodations (verbal and telephone bookings are considered a legal contract) does not entitle the guest to a full refund. The service provider can impose cancellation fees even if this is not specifically detailed in their terms of business.
Offers for accommodations, tour packages, and events that are selected based on specific search parameters, are listed randomly or in alphabetical order. The Tourism Council of Franconia (and the Franken Tourismus Marketing GmbH) do not guarantee or assume any responsibility for the quality of services provided by the provider.
