Franconian outdoor museums are a great place to learn about rural architecture as well as rural beer brewing traditions.
Fladungen is the home of the 18th century and former community brewery of Alsleben. In 1744, the bishop of Würzburg gave the community of Alsleben the privilege to brew its own beer. Today, this historical date is commemorated each June with a ceremonial beer barrel tapping in the brew house.
