The Bavarian Brewery Museum is located in the Mönchshof in Kulmbach. The Museum features a glass brewery and one of the most important exhibits on the history of beer making in Germany.
The museum is interactive and allows the visitor to hear, see, taste, and smell. There are numerous exhibits: “The art of beer making,” “beer heritage in changing times,” beer advertisements,” as well as an exhibit called “brewery architecture.” The halls of the former monastery are furthermore used for beer tasting, beer barrel tapping tests, as well as numerous day and multi-day programs. Since 2008, the Mönchshof has also been home to the Bavarian Bakery Museum.
