Beer the traditional Erlangen way: The Kitzmann BräuSchänke invites you in for a fresh brewed beer and other treats at its historical location. For over 100 years the brewpub has been a favorite meeting place for dignitaries, blue-collar workers, and college students. The brewery reopened in 2008 and now serves six homemade beers right in the center of town. The ceiling fresco depicts hops, barley and water and the murals are scenes from the history of Erlangen. When the weather is nice, it is best to eat the brew master’s schnitzel outside in the beer garden.
