The “Beer Garden at the Castle on the Hill” has the atmosphere of a beer cellar. It sits high above the narrow alleyways of the town of Gräfenberg. In the town below, there is also the traditional “Friedmann’s Bräustüberl” or brew pub. At the “Beer Garden at the Castle on the Hill” order a Franconian open face sandwich and a cold Pils beer fresh from the tap. To top of the experience, enjoy the spectacular views all the way to the city of Nuremberg. Friedmann’s Bräustüberl on the other had, is much more traditional Franconian. They serve warm food made from scratch using local ingredients. Both places offer the same excellent beers made at the Friedmann Brewery.
